DROMCOLLOGHER-Broadford withstood a late onslaught from Ballysteen to record a 0-13 to 2-6 win in the Limerick SFC last weekend.
Drom-Broadford were 0-13 to 1-4 up with four minutes remaining and looked in total control. But a late goal from Danny Neville gave Ballysteen a huge lift and they followed it up with two points to close the gap to one.
But despite four minutes of injury time, they couldn’t force an equaliser and Drom held on.
Patrick Donnelly was the star man for the winners as they pulled clear early in the second half after trailing 1-3 to 0-5 at the break, the Ballysteen goal coming from a Brendan Hayes penalty.
Points from Donnelly, Ray Lynch and Derry McCarthy had them in command and they did just about enough to hold on.
